Pair Aesthetic Movement Club Chairs

$9,500.00

This is a striking pair of American Aesthetic Movement Parlor or Club Chairs. These chairs are an unusual form of New York 19th century chair and are crafted of intricately carved rosewood with a gothic design influence. The arm supports terminate in detailed carved rondelles as do the top back supports. The legs are detailed with fanciful carved paw feet and and inverted spear points. The chairs are in overall very good condition: the frames appear to retain their original surface and have been reupholstered in an embroidered silk. The silk is in good condition with a very few minor discolorations. The rosewood frames show the anticipated patina with a few chips and minor imperfections. ****Please contact MJH Design Arts for favorable shipping quote to the East Coast and South.
