This is a very good set of 6 English Regency solid mahogany side or dining chairs of a modified klismos form. The chairs feature a well-carved rope top rail that, together with the foliate brass inlaid center splat, are testimony to the chairs' quality. The caned seats are in excellent condition, having been re-caned. These chairs were purchased from the estate of Kirk and Anne Douglas and are a testament to the discerning taste of this premier Hollywood couple.
