German Baroque Chest of Drawers
This is a good example of a German serpentine-front inlaid walnut and Circassian walnut chest of drawers that dates to the first half of the 18th century. The smaller proportions of this chest make it comparable to an english bachelors chest. The figured inlaid walnut and banding combined with the serpentine form and bun feet add to the decorative value of the chest. This charming chest would make a wonderful bedside table or sofa side table. The graphic nature of the inlay would provide the perfect counterpoint to contemporary design.

Condition Overall very good condition. The brass pulls are old appropriate replacements. Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor wear at bottom right which does not detract from the beauty of the chest and is anticipated in furniture of this time period.
