This is a charming pair of period 18th century. Louis XV gilt bronze figural chenets that have been mounted on impressive and hefty Lucite plinths and fitted as lamps. The opposing bronze sculptures depict young French pastoral girls. The bronzes are finely cast in full relief and are in overall excellent condition, retaining traces of their original gilding. The chenets are signed on the back.
