French 18th Century Chest of Drawers

$4,950.00

This is a fine example of a mid-18th century Louis XV provincial serpentine walnut chest of drawers. The chest is in overall very good condition. The chest features a serpentine front, molded top, 4 carved drawers with a "concealed"/secret central top drawer, shaped skirt and paneled sides. The dog-form hardware, although old and of the period, appears to be replacements. The old waxed surface has acquired a lush natural patina. Amazingly, the chest retains its key.
