Federal-Style Triple Pedestal Dining Table
This is a classic Federal-style (English Regency period) triple pedestal dining table. The table dates to the late 19th century, it is perhaps a Centennial piece; and it measures 102" without the additional leaves and 128" with the inserts. The top is cross banded and the pedestal legs are carved in a traditional Federal style with the outswept legs ending in brass hairy paw feet and casters. The table is in good original condition and has been professionally polished, including the casters. There are light traces of writing seen only from an angle which do not affect the beauty of the table. We have elected to keep the original surface.
We have a set of 8 Period George III Shield Back dining chairs that would be the perfect mate for this table. The chairs are listed separately.
