This is a great pair of carved Portuguese Oak Rococo side chairs. These chairs are beautifully carved with exaggerated cabriole legs detailed with carved knees, stirrups and pad feet. The center splat is whimsical with its scrolling carved openwork. The crest rail features a central carved cartouche. The modified balloon seat is further detailed by an oxbow front and carved center cartouche.
