This is a good pair of mid-20th century Chinese Export Phoenix Birds (Ho-Ho Birds). The opposing pair measures 16" in height and is highly decorative. One bird has an invisible restoration to a wing; otherwise the birds are in good overall condition. Marked on bottom, as shown in photos.
***In Greek and Roman culture, the Phoenix symbolized immortality and resurrection. In Chinese culture, the Phoenix symblized power and authority sent to the Empress or the an emperor with integrity and without corruption.
