Large 24" Imari Charger, Meiji Period

$2,750.00

This is a stunning example of a very large late Meiji Imari Charger that measures 24" in diameter. Chargers of this size and condition are uncommon due to the complexity of firing such a large porcelain article. This charger has been beautifully decorated in an unusual scene of a willow bonsai tree on a stand together with a pair of Kailins and a second stand all surrounded by a scrolling floral design in oxide red. The charger is in overall very good condition with minor indications of use. This is a very decorative object which could be hung as art work or displayed as accent piece on period antique furniture or integrated into a contemporary design.

***We have listed separately a second 24" Imari charger.
