This is a very good example of an early 20th century Anglo Raj center or side table. The table is well carved in traditional Indian scrolling motifs to the top and more abstract geometric forms on the lower shelf. The table is in overall very good original condition. We have applied a couple of coats of hard paste wax and buffed the surface to bring out the natural beauty of the ebonized surface. The table is lacking one small nearly undetectable section of wood below the lower shelf which does not affect the appearance or stability of the table. The table would incorporate well into any design concept from modern to period antique; from Mediterranean to Spanish Colonial.
